Is the Card Worth It After the 1st Year Sign Up Bonus?
The $240 Turo credit is very hard to use, so this credit can be excluded.
The other two credits, can be useful.
$100 on AAdvantage Hotels (Splurge Credit) + $100 inflight purchases = $200 Useable Annual Credit
$200 Useable Annual Credit + $160 ($40x2x2) Baggage Fee = $360 Value vs $350 Annual Fee
If you book at least 1 round trip with American Airlines, this card may be worth it provided you also book hotels and make inflight purchase.
What really offset the annual fee is if you can use the $99 companion certificate and four Admirals Club® lounge access every year.
Notes
If you don’t fly that often with American Airlines, the $99/year Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select card might be the better option.
If you fly a lot with American Airlines and want unlimited complimentary Admiral Club access, the The $595/year Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite card might be the better option.
You can also apply for Citi’s own credit card lineup and just transfer the points to AA.
You can also hold both the AA Globe and AA Executive card at the same time giving you 35,000/year point boost.
